He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Matheney and Freda Latta Matheney; and his brothers, Melvin and Jerry Riffle. He is survived by: his wife Jerry Lou Clemens Matheney; his children, John Matheney (Teresa) of McConnelsville, Jill Coleman (Mike) of Malta and Cindy Barringer of Malta; and his siblings, Jack Matheney of McConnelsville, Richard Riffle of Michigan, Susie Thompson of Columbus, Kathy Glaser of Columbus and Nora Sanford of Toledo. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
