He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Jo Davis; his son Stephen L. Davis; his siblings, Ruby Ewald, James Davis, Loyde Davis, Leslie Davis, Virgil Davis, Grace Koenig, Robert Davis and Janet Kattau; and his parents, James C. Davis and Velma G. Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey T. Davis (Teresa L.) and Nancy M. Stark (Rodney C.); and his grandchildren, Lauren Davis, Ryan Stark and Matthew Stark.
