He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Wanda Byrd; his sons, Brent Byrd (Lisa) and Matthew Byrd (Gina); his grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Josh, Justin, Madison and Caleb; his great grandchild Oliver; and his siblings, Jerry Byrd, Sharon Farmer and Don Byrd.

We had many conversations about life, family & work. It was the highlite of my day when he would stop in & just sit for a minute. The shop & field ALWAYS ran smoother when Roy was there. He was looked up to and admired by everyone. I count myself blessed to say I knew him & have him as a friend. Amy”
