He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Opel and John Opel. He is survived by: his fiancée Therese Kennedy; his daughter Angela Smith (Josh); his sister Kathie Maltman (Joe); his stepdaughter Amanda Stamm (Tony); his grandchildren, Sydney Owens, River Smith and Olivia Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Mariah Simpson and Colton Simpson; his nieces, Brandi O'Neil (Bill) and Hollie Martin (Chris); and his great-nieces, Jordan Martin and Riley O'Neil.
