He is survived by: his parent Mildred Wharton (Gerber); his wife Lou Ann; his son James Wharton of Copley, OH; his daughter-in-law Julie Wharton of Copley, OH; his daughter Lori Ann Spaulding of North Canton; his grandchildren, Jessica Wharton, Jordan Wharton, Giselle Spaulding, Trent Spaulding and Kalen Bowen (Sarah); his sisters, Marilyn Maddox and Linda Icardi, Jr. (Hugo); and also Magnolia.
