With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Eckinger of Magnolia, Ohio, born in Canton, Ohio, who passed away on January 30, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Eckinger and Betty Eckinger (Reisling). He is survived by: his close friend Dick Yohe; his wife Paulette (Rennie); his children, Lisa Wigfield (Joseph) and Scott Eckinger (Jessica); his grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Landen, Camdyn Wigfield, Cole and Cali Eckinger; and his siblings, Jim Eckinger (Cheryl), Tom Eckinger (Nancy), Janice Holdsworth (Randy) and Gail Bourquin (Rocky). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

The family requests masks to be worn and to refrain from hugging due to Covid.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick's memory may be made to the Magnolia United Methodist Church, the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department, or to Community Hospice of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
