He was predeceased by: his father Donald G. Sr. Smith; his wife Carol L. Smith (Loschert); his brother Gary; his sister-in-law Wanda Smith; and his granddaughter Alice Bowman.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Richards, Scott Smith (Julie Harwig) and Heather Smith (J. T.); his grandchildren, John, Jessica, Alexus, Sarah, Lance, Logan, Zachery and Christopher; and his siblings, Jeff Smith (Joan) and Barb Cannell (Tom). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
