He is survived by: his mother Virginia Townsend; his sons, William Harold McFadden IV, Jason Eric McFadden (Susan Blair) and Nicholas James McFadden (Reta Jenkins); his grandchildren, Noel and Naomi Marsh; his sisters, Kathleen Marie Jenkins, Bonnie Jean Good (David), Lois Darlene McFadden and Elizabeth Ruth Fassler (Adam); and his wife Carol Faith Amidon.

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
