He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Boback and Agnes Boback (Mallin); his siblings, Nancy Anger and Daniel; and his pet Maggie.

He is survived by: his children, Shaun (Nicole Longhitano) and Amy Chapman (Jason); his grandchildren, Justine Griffin (Adam), Tate and Brent Chapman; his great grandchild Milo Griffin; and his brother-in-law Fred Anger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
