He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick E. Steger and Geraldine R. Steger; his sister Laura Miller (Steger); his wife Vicki; and his brother-in-law Jim Miller.
He is survived by: his cousin Steve; his brother David Steger (Jane); his children, James Sidewand of Madison, David Sidewand (Jennifer) of Virginia, Heather Craigg (Anthony) of Akron, Ian Steger (Jennifer) of Virginia and Beth Canady (James) of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Noah, Owen, Lincoln, Emilia and Elise. He is also survived by His siblings, children, many nieces and nephews.
