He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred C. Welsh and Catherine A. Welsh (Mann); his wife Bernice; his son-in-law John A. Vassallo; his son Bryan Douglas Welsh; and his brothers, Harold, Chuck and Curtis.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Vassallo and Russ Welsh Jr. (Linda); his daughter-in-law Annette; his grandchildren, Stacey Miscko (Steve), Jason Vassallo (Jaime), Joshua Vassallo (Erin), Russell Welsh (Lisa), Jessica Welsh, Justin Welsh, Meghan Horstman (Jake) and Connor Welsh; his great grandchildren, Ryan Vassallo, Olivia Miscko, Seth Welsh, Lauryn Vassallo, Thomas Vassallo, Peyton Vassallo, Henry Welsh, Eleanor Welsh, Elsie Welsh, Luke Welsh and Frankie Horstman; his great great grandchild Ne'Veyah Vassallo; and his siblings, RIchard, Betty and Carol.
