He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Nightingale and Margaret Nightingale; his siblings, Robert Nightingale and Nancy Pitcher; his nephew Russell Havel; and his niece Michelle "Chelly" Havel.
He is survived by: his wife Marie E. Nightingale; his stepchildren, Karin and Colin Finnigan; his grandchildren, Heather Harrell and Jamey Champa; and his nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Lazar, Charles "Skip", Michael Havel, Julie Collis and Robert Nightingale, Jr..
