He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Zalar and Edna Zalar (Elnikar); his brother George Zalar; and his sisters-in-law, Edna and Marilyn.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his sons, Greg Zalar (Laura), Joseph Zalar (Laura) and Jeffrey Zalar (Carole); the mother of his children Jane Zalar; his grandchildren, Owen, Becca, Alex, Jason, Cory and Aidan; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Annabelle, Ethan, Sophie, Austin and Julian; and his siblings, Frank Zalar, Rosalie Chuberko, Edwina Michniak (Chuck), Stanley Zalar (Lilah) and Tony Zalar (Elaine).
