He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Chloe (Kiner) and James Robert "Bob" McCourt; his siblings, Christina Lynch, Dovie Hamrick, Emzie Ashley, Bennie, Ora, Roland McCourt and Roy Dane McCourt of Cleveland, OH; and his stepfather Ervin H. Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Patricia McCourt; his sons, Kenton, Tim and Randy McCourt; and his brother Danny R. McCourt of Altha, FL.. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
