He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma Smith and Dale Smith; his wife Betty Edward; his children, Christine Smith and Dale Smith (MaryBeth); and his granddaughters, Samantha (Al), Angie and April (Jimi). He was also cherished by 9 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
