Barbara A. Piispanen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara A. Piispanen of Madison, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara A. Piispanen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cleary and Esther Cleary (Hietanen); her husband Tom; and her stepbrother Robert Lurvey. She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Piispanen and Michael Piispanen; her grandchildren, Thomas Piispanen and Jessica Larkins; her great grandchildren, Lillianna Piispanen, Nora Larkins and Isla Larkins; and her siblings, Ken Cleary, Judi Fordyce (Cleary) and Sally Griffiths (Cleary).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Central Congregational Church (71 Park St, Madison, OH 44057). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. She was an active and devoted member of Central Congregational Church, where she participated in the Bell Choir, bible study, and helped out in any way she could, including scanning temperatures at the door during COVID-19 to ensure the doors could stay open and everyone remained healthy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central Congregational Church in Barbara's name.
