Gessel of Macksburg, Ohio, born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Ellis and Sylvia Gheen Ellis; her son Terry Allen Gessel; and her brothers, Lester and Everett Ellis.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Gessel; her children, Shirley Verlaque of Macksburg, Richard Gessel (Jamie) of Macksburg and Joe Gessel (Jamie) of Lowell, OH; her grandchildren, Josh Gessel (Victoria), Jake Erb (Jeni), Jennifer Gessel (Tim Tiller) and Kacie Fitzwater (Reed); her great grandchildren, Isabella Gessel, Charles Gessel, Adam Gessel and Jenelle Erb; and her siblings, Hazel Thornberry (Wayne), Shirley Snodgrass, Charles Ellis (Louis) and Keith Ellis (Deb). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
