He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Edwin and Berchie Essie Copas (Taylor); his wife MaryJean Copas (Taylor); his brother Larry Copas; his siblings-in-law, Betty Copas, Lloyd Nixon and Carl Miller; his nephews, Jason Copas and Michael Edgington; and his niece Melissa Copas.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Lee Copas of Lynx and Heavenly Nicole Copas of Lynx; his siblings, Harold Copas of Wheelersburg, Jerry Copas (Ruth Ann) of West Union, Forest Copas (Connie) of Lynx, Richard Copas of Lynx, Evelyn Nixon of Portsmouth, Juanita Martin (Joe) of Peebles and Kathy Dryden (Phillip) of Manchester; and his niece Joyce Ann Nixon. He is also survived by several other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
