He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hedge and Elizabeth Hedge (Johnson); his former wife Betty Hedge; his daughter Carolyn Robinson; his stepdaughter Grindle Allen; his siblings, Augusta Ducklo, Helen Hedge, Mearl Hedge and John Hedge, Jr.; his nieces, Candy Hedge and Cathy Chowning; and his nephew Kenneth Ducklo.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Henize Williams Hedge; his son Donald "Donnie" Hedge of Lynchburg; his stepsons, James "Tom" Williams (Kelly) of Lynchburg, Todd Williams (Sandy) of New Vienna and Chuck Williams (Becky) of New Vienna; his grandchildren, Kayla Fulmer (Michael) and Gregory Robinson; his stepgrandchildren, James Allen (Reva), Brock Allen (Chelsea), Courtney Tenas, Ashley Tenas, Amber Allen, Kara Williams, Cody Paige, Ciera Fenner (Noah), Austin Hatcher, Shaffer VanWinkle, Shelton VanWinkle, KayLee Adams and Carsson Mootz (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Orin Robinson, Jasper Fulmer, Lana Murphy, Maegan Kirby and Liam Mootz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
