She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Pendall and Wanda Pendall (Riley); and her sister Paulette Pendall Ludwick. She is survived by: her children, David R. Burkard of Lynchburg, Robert N. Carter of Lynchburg, Michelle Lynch (Brian) of Lynchburg and Jamie Carter (Brenda Parry Ballein) of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Courtney Warne (Matt) of Lynchburg, Tyler Lynch (Abby) of Saudi Arabia and Alex Lynch of Lynchburg; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Sophia, Madden and Briar; her niece Candi Thornton of Blanchester; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Chazmon, Nicole and Anthony.
