He was predeceased by: his parents, Mallie Nichols Puckett and King; his wife Gena G. Nichols; and his siblings, Sue Nichols and David Puckett.
He is survived by: his sons, John Nichols (Christina) of Lynchburg and James Nichols (Lorrie) of Greenfield; his stepfather Houston Puckett of Goshen; his grandchildren, Robbie, Sierra, Misty, Brandi, Bethany, Tristan, Hunter, Katie, Arianna, Ashlee, James, Maya and Jayce; his siblings, Pearl Parr of Sharonville and Danny Nichols of Milford; his niece Becky Howard; and his friends, John Springer and Joan Beasley (Carol Knapp). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
