He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Arthur Runk and Lena Grace Runk (Huffman); his wife Kathryn Ann Runk (Copeland); and his siblings, Judy, Ethel Louise, Wahneta and Jerry David Runk.
He is survived by: his daughter Dyanna; his son-in-law Ted Foster of Lynchburg; his son Tony Runk of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Timothy Foster (Megan) of Jackson, MI, Stephanie Foster of Lynchburg, Kalen Foster (Amy) of Goshen, Samantha Ahrman (Ramon) of Xenia and Jay Runk (Honey) of Hillsboro; his great grandchildren, Derek Foster, Grant Foster, Breyanna Hutchinson, Bethaney Hutchinson, Nathan Foster, Kevin Foster, Allison Foster, Connor Ahrman, Lily Ahrman and Anderson Runk; and his siblings, Gladys "Corky" Rumor, Shirley Gayle Cox, Danny Martin Runk, Jeffrey Dean Runk and Mickey Leon Runk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
