He was predeceased by: his parent James Ernst Elam Sr.; his daughter Jamie Elam; and his siblings, Linda Elam and Jeff Elam. He is survived by: his parent Betty Elam (Hogan); his wife Rosa Elam (Mcvey) of Fayetteville; his children, Shane Elam of Dayton, Angie Marie Blankenship of Tennessee, Jessie Amy Youch of Michigan and Dondy Dye of Florida; his stepchildren, Rebecca Perkins of Corbin, KY, Bessie Perkins of Corbin, KY, Paul Perkins of Hillsboro, Ronald Perkins of Hillsboro and Troy Perkins of Tennessee; his sister Sue Elam of Dayton; and also, Shirley Perkins of Lynchburg, Bev Mcvey (Gary) of Fairborn, Hazel Sargent (Moose) of Kentucky, Troy Mcvey (Buddy) of Dayton and George Mcvey of Dayton. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
