He was predeceased by: his parents, John Green Brewer and Alma Brewer (Chester); his wife Mary Frances Brewer (McIntosh); his daughter Carol Souther; and his grandson Matthew Paul Burney.
He is survived by: his children, Gil Brewer, Shay Doak (Herman), Kim Burney, Donald Brewer (Lisa), Karen Carey (Rex) and Lori Blackburn (Mike); and his grandchildren, Veronica Lawson (John), Maria Edmondson (Stephen), Joseph Doak, Erika Huber (Daniel), Landon Doak, Michael Burney, Christopher Blackburn, Cassandra Soale, Ryan Souther, Jessica Hupp (Justin), Heather Culp (Jeremy), Rex Carey (Brandie), Kyle Carey and Sierra Carey. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
