He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Herdman and Ruby Herdman (Mustard); his sister Audrey Hunter (Ray); and his brother-in-law Wayne Osborn. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Herdman (Newman); his children, Debbie Herdman of Wilmington, Dennis Herdman of Lynchburg and Vickie Huffman (Warren) of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Josh Geeslin (Tiffany), Matt Geeslin (Kayla), Brandi Geeslin (Ernie Colliver) and Rebekah Brown (Landen); his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Huffman and Levi Huffman; his great grandchildren, Braylee, Kendall, Branson, Taylor, McKenna, Jackson and Weston; and his sister Wanda Osborn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
