He was predeceased by : his parents, John W. Richards and Betty Richards (Gould). He is survived by : his children, Rob Richards, Brent Richards, Karey Jane Richards, Stephonney Davis and Katherine Dawn Richards. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as siblings.
