He was predeceased by: his sister Amanda Abney; his stepfather Robert Bayless; his grandparents, Melvin and Mary Springer; and his father-in-law Dale Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Melanie Bailey Abney; his daughters, Brianna, Sydney and Ella Abney; his mother Jamel Springer Bayless; his siblings, Shay Bayless (Billie), Shawn Bayless (Amy), Penny Bayless and Kim Mason; his mother-in-law Rosalie Bailey; and his siblings-in-law, Marty Bailey (Rebecca) and Dee Bagford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, many of whom were childhood companions.
