With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Louise Barber of Lynchburg, Ohio, born in Canton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2024 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by : her father William Prater; her stepmother Janet Prater; her aunt Anna Borden; and her siblings, Peg Shaul and Ted Prater.

She is survived by : her children, Anna Vilvens (Richard) of Lynchburg, Ray Purdin (Glenna) of Hillsboro and Louise Mootz of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, April McBrayer (Ryan), Amber Moon (Chuck Allen), Amy Moon, Andrea Moon (Scott Barber), Kristi Franz (Chris Holden), Travis Purdin (Tinisha DeLong) and Zebulun Purdin (Kyle Norton); and her sisters, Barb Carlson of Sabina, Nancy Adkins of Marshall, Bonnie Prater of Hillsboro and Sandra Prater of Hillsboro. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild.
