He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Smith and Ethel Irvin Smith; and his brother Fred Smith. He is survived by: his children, Scott Smith (Karyn), Cindy Sherman (Larry) and Teresa Alvelo (Aaron "Scoob"); his grandchildren, Erin Wiseman (Arrick), Corey Sherman, Taran Alvelo, Alex Smith, Blake Smith and Cole Smith; his great grandchildren, Kellan and Kayden Wiseman; and his sister Betty Swick.
