He was predeceased by: his father Malcolm Tackett, Jr.; his daughter Jennifer Lynn Tackett; and his siblings, Billy Ray Tackett, Keith Tackett, Everett Lee Tackett, Shelby Jean Puckett and Doug Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Ray Tackett (Carla) of Russell, Misty Holsinger (Bumble) of Friendship, Joshua Kit Tackett (Stephanie) of West Union, Malcolm Herbert Tackett (Melissa) of Ashland, Claytonia Loper of Frankin Furnace, Craig Allen Tackett (Kimberly) of McDermott, Jeffrey Michael Bond of Greenup and Robbie Lee Bond of Load, Kentucky; his siblings, Michael Eugene Tackett of Lucasville, Eddie Dean Tackett of Lawshe, Dorothy Sue Adams of Otway and Bryda Lou "Brandy" Crabtree of Lucasville; and his close friends, Diana Kay Johnson of Flatwoods and Donnie Rachford (Jeanette) of Otway. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
