Bradford Smith Obituary
Bradford Wilbert Smith., age 85, a resident of Lucasville, OH., formerly of Moatsville, WV passed away from this life on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Edgewood Manor of Lucasville, OH. He had been in failing health however his death was unexpected.
He was born into this life July 5, 1937, in Philippi, WV., a son to the late Bradford Smith, and Belaugh (Glendening) Smith.
In 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Alice Marie Talkington who preceded him in death in 2015.
Bradford leaves behind his children, Loretta Jo Smith, and companion Ronny Brown, Jerry Smith, Jacky Daniels, Greg Smith, and wife Patty Smith, Tamila Swiger, and husband Rev. Randy Swiger, Cheryl Poling, and Timothy Smith, and companion, Julie Campbell; one sister, Rosalee Lawson; several grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son; Bobby Smith; Jacky's twin sister, Cathy Smith, several brothers, and sisters.
Mr. Smith was a Pentecostal by faith he was a member, and the care provider for the Laurel Creek Church for many years. He began his career by working in the coal mines, and later on in life he was a self- employed mechanic. Bradford enjoyed riding his four-wheeler back in the country, loved to talk on his CB radio, his handle name was Golden Horse, he had a passion for being out in nature by hunting, and fishing, and most of all he loved visiting his family, and friends. Bradford will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave. Philippi, WV., on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 4pm until 8 pm., again on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 10:00 am until 1 pm when a funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with the Minister Robert Lantz, and the burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery near Moatsville following the services. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
