With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Melton (Lucas, Ohio), born in Shawnee Hills, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Stevenson and Alice Stevenson; her grandchild Jude Melton-Houghton; and her siblings, Eldon, Barbara, Stephanie Jean, Patricia and Harold.
She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Stevenson (Loretta) of Auburn, Washington and Eileen Postle (Mike) of Delaware, Ohio; her daughters, Mary Catherine "Cathy" Melton (Steve Ford) of Canton, Ohio and Paula Melton (David Houghton) of Brattleboro, Vermont.; her grandchildren, Amanda Harris (Everett), Laila Blackwell (Steven Nicolaides), Kaylea Neville (Shane), Buddy Jackson, Cassandra Melton-Houghton (Jasper Guyette) and Ada Melton-Houghton (Jamie Hammarlund); and her great grandchildren, Alaina Rice, Everett Harris Jr., Ariana Harris, Annica Harris, Alexa Blackwell and Caiden Heichel. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
