He is survived by: his wife Alma; his children, John Jr. Kurtz (Becky), Deborah Demirjian (George), Robert Kurtz (Lisa) and Julia Kurtz; his grandchildren, John III Kurtz (Savanea), Jennifer Ernsberger (Bryce), Kristin, Kyle, Abe, Jillian and Maleah Kurtz; his great grandchild Barrett Ernsberger; and his siblings, Martha Brumenshenkel, Jim Kurtz, Raymond Kurtz, Naomi Harry, Dorothy Sorg, Eugene Kurtz, Kenneth Kurtz and George Kurtz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Temple Christian School Scholarship Fund or to the Pleasant Valley Ranch Church Camp.
