With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty E. Backensto-Paramore-Lomax-Ditwiler of Lucas, Ohio, born in Rome, Ohio, who passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloyd Backensto and Susie Backensto (Mohn); her former husband Gerald Paramore; her husband John Ditwiler; her granddaughters, Cynthia Chamberlain and Jill Cole; her great grandchildren, Abryella Baker and Corbin Lomax; and her siblings, Jacque, Fred, Jim, Vione Baker, C. Jane Kissel Snyder and Virginia Barnd.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Paramore Tridico (John), Dennis Paramore (Marilyn), Mary Lomax Lowe and Alfred Lomax Sr. (Patti). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
