He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Thomas and Hilma M. Theiss Thomas; and his brother Vaughn Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Burkhart Thomas; his children, Ruth Ellen Stoneking (Billy) of Pleasant City, James A. Thomas of Lower Salem, Carol A. Perry (Steve) of Woodsfield and Roger N. Thomas (Nancy) of Jerusalem; his grandchildren, Zack, Josh Stoneking, Hunter Thomas, Shea, Cammie Groves, Michael, Robert Thomas, Justin Perry and Stephanie Miller; and his siblings, Mary Louise Skoglund of Marietta, Dorothy I. Hesson of Marietta and John L. Thomas of Marietta. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
