She was predeceased by: her parents, Waclaw Zeyzus and Petronela Zeyzus; her husband Martin J. Basista; and her siblings, Fred, Adam, Henry, Leon, John, Ted, Louis, Richard, Bertha Gillis, Lucy and Irene Zeyzus.

She is survived by: her siblings, Raymond Zeyzus and Helen Zychal of Export, PA; her children, Larry Basista (Cheryl) of Sarasota, FL and Susan Novak of Lowellville; her grandchildren, Timothy Basista of Painesville, Rebecca Komara (Rob) of Canfield, Amy Novak of Poland, Erin, Mary Rose Novak and Tanner Stellmar of Lowellville; her stepgrandchildren, Kyle Troyer (Nicole) of Wooster and Jared Troyer of Glendale, AZ; and her great grandchildren, Robby, Alijah, Cru Komara, Daxton, Bodi, Carson and Brantley Troyer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
