He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grissett and Evelyn Boswell Grissett; his daughter Carla Yarn; his brother Ronald J. Grissett; and his granddaughter Tammy.
He is survived by: his wife Celia Gaston; his children, Kenneth T. Grissett II (Kimberly), Michael T. Grissett, Crystal Grissett, Lawanda Mills (Marshall) and Sheila Jenkins; and his nephews, Ronald J. Grissett Jr. and Sean Bell. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
