He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis "Red" and Juanita Eileen McAtee Hughey; and his brother Evan Jay Hughey. He is survived by: his wife Carol Pontius Hughey; his children, Chad C. Hughey (Dawn) of Caldwell and Trisha D. Hughey (Randy Pintac) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and his siblings, Danny L. Hughey (Barb) of Akron, Gary W. Hughey of Warner, Denise H. Williams (Dave) of Macksburg and Melody L. Gray of Macksburg. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
