He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Arlene Schilling Hill; his siblings, Floriene Stewart, Bill Hill and Robert "Lefty" Hill; and his son-in-law Lee Strickler.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Pfile (Larry), Norma Burge (Randy), Sandy Strickler and Jack Hill Jr. (Erin); his grandchildren, Ashlee Pfile, Rob Burge (Danielle), Rachel Brooker (Eric), Zach Hill, Trae Hill (Amber), Jessica Emerick (Seth) and Maggie Leach (Tim); his brother-in-law Nial Wheeler (Betty); his niece Jane Trautner (John); and his nephew Bill Hill (Joanne). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
