“I was deeply saddened to learn about Warren's passing. I have known Warren for over 40 yrs. and was a close friend and colleague. We were both committee members of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. He was a leader and made many valuable technical contributions to the advancement of the electric power industry. Cilla, please accept my sincere condolences and find comfort in knowing that Warren was liked and well respected by all of us ASME Code members who knew him. He was the best.”

“Cilla and family, Patty and I express our sincerest and heartfelt condolences. Y’all are good friends and we feel the hurt. Warren took me under his wing, teaching about ASME processes and how they varied from ANS. I learned a lot about materials from him and taught him some about nuclear physics. I miss him already. - Lou”

“Nancy and I want to extend our deepest sympathies to Warren's family. I worked closely with Warren for the last few years before he retired from Westinghouse, including many trips to customer sites where his knowledge and influence was a great benefit to our business success. He was my mentor, my advisor and my friend. It seems like only yesterday when we celebrated his retirement, and I had the pleasure of working with him a couple years ago. He will be missed.”

Gary Stevens wrote a sympathy message

“I first met Warren at ASME Code meetings, circa 1991, when I first attended as a much younger, aspiring engineer from GE Nuclear Energy. There I saw him quarterly for the next 30 years. I “grew up” under his leadership as Chair of the Subgroup on Evaluation Standards, where I became his group Secretary in the early 2000s and held that position for 12 years. I considered him a great mentor and friend, and I always enjoyed catching a meal with him during our travels. I will miss him dearly.”
