It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Gilkey Gregg (Loveland, Ohio), who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his close friend Ann Rypstra; his sister Sonje Hinich of Austin, TX; his daughters, Kirsten Gregg of Eugene, OR, Kimberly Gregg-Cornell of Athens, OH, Karen Gregg of New Hampton, NH and Jillian Gregg of Corvallis, OR; and his grandchildren, Cassandra Cornell of Las Vegas, NV and Caleb Jaster of Brooklyn, NY.. He is also survived by cousins, second cousins, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, his family asks that you honor Tom's legacy through your actions: work to ensure access to quality science education at all levels, plant a garden or support someone who does, adopt a pet, do something to help someone in need succeed, and fight for fairness and equity. “Just learned of Tom Gregg's passing through Miami University publication. I worked in Tom's lab (1971-73). His recommendations helped me get into my PhD program at University of Texas at Austin.
