He was predeceased by: his spouses, Jean M and Gail P.; his son Rick Schlie (Kathy); his siblings, MaryAnn "Dolly" Nischwitz, Thomas Schlie and William Schlie; and his parents, Clifford J. and Mary G. Schlie.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Schlie (Allison), Sherri Holzman (Ron), Lisa Slattery (Mike), Michael Schlie (Kristen), Herman Hoernschemeyer (Brenda), Cheryl Menke (Tom) and Greg Hoernschemeyer; his grandchildren, Will (Kelly), Emily (Ian), JC (Katie), Elizabeth, Scott, Patrick, Cait (Tyler), Bobby (Erin), David, Andy, Ben (Destiny), Jean (Corey), Avery, Cameron, Aaron, Olivia, Grace, Lexie and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Allison, Crosley, Haley, Patrick, Harper, Chloe, Gus and Jamie; and his sister Nancy DeBrunner (Gerald). He is also survived by his family and time spent with his many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
