He was predeceased by: his parents, Montell Sr. Garvin and Rebecca Shinn Garvin (Bertram); and his sister Rhonda Taylor. He is survived by: his son Andrew Shinn of Richmond; his siblings, Melissa Helms of Centerville, Misha Spencer (Joe) of Greenfield, Kevin Booth (Amy) of Indianopolis, Tony Garvin (Centerville) and Dudley Garvin of Decatur; and his stepfather Ronald Garvin of Centerville. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
