She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Newsom; her son Lawrence; and her brother Harold Stinson. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Lynn Carter (late Donald), Cheryl Theresa Williams (Stephen), Laurie J. Newsom, Jerry Newsom, Kathi M. Chadwell (Gary) and Calvin Michael "Calvie" Newsom; her grandchildren, Darlene, Erin, Matt, Bryan, Christopher, Evan, Tara and Benjamin; her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Mikayla, Natalie, Harlow, Dax, Liv, Remi, Delilah and Lawson; and her cousin Diane Ruda Smith (Dwight).
