He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Elaine and Joseph Weinle; his brother Harry Patterson; his brother-in-law Richard Durham; and his nephews, Scott Durham and Grant Patterson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Weinle; his children, Julia Bates and Mitchell Weinle; his siblings, Mary Beth Robson (Brad), Albert Patterson (Mary) and Carol Durham; his sister-in-law Barb Patterson; and his nieces and nephews, Marina Chase (Josh), Denise Robson, Lindsey Lennon (Seamus), Carley Scanlon (Tyler), Doug Durham (Cindy), Julie Durham, Steven Patterson, Stacy Martin (Jeff), Greg Patterson (Allison), Don Kiser (Terry), Ted Kiser (Lisa) and Kevin Kiser (Angie).
