He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Maton and Marjory Maton (Cullin). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Maton; his children, Robert Maton (Kira) of Matthews, NC, Ashley Roehm (Peter) of Loveland, OH and Benjamin Maton (Jennifer) of Charlottesville, VA; and his grandchildren, Trent, Bryce of Matthews, NC, Reno, Ryder of Loveland, OH, Stella, Ruby and Phoenix of Charlottesville, VA..

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the David C Brown Funeral Home (460 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Lutheran Church (3003 Hannan Rd, Wayne, MI 48184). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:15 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (46785 Denton Rd, Van Buren Charter Township, MI 48111).

“Joyce and Family, I was very saddened when I became aware of Dick's sudden passing. He was a very friendly and loving person. I very much appreciated knowing him and talking with him. I pray for the whole family to received comfort through the knowledge that he is with his Savior in heaven. I am having problems with my legs and getting around.
