He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Opal Smith; and his sister Velma Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Eva L. Smith; his children, Wayne Smith (Nancy), James Smith, Diane Holtmeyer (Scott) and Steve Smith; his grandchildren, Garrett Smith (Jess), Alexis Moses, Jaylee Gruner (David), Amanda Schrage (Brett), Nick Holtmeyer (Ashley), Timothy Holtmeyer (Taylor), Sierra Smith, Chase Smith, Savannah Smith and Cole Gilhaus; and his siblings, Jim Smith, Rosie Banner, Zelda Coleman, Mary Lou Brill, Lucille Hand and Harold Smith. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
