He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Vernier and Mabel Vernier (Schlonegar); and his siblings, Richard, Norma Elliott and Lucille Bordner.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Athena Edwards (David), Douglas Vernier (Christine), Bruce Vernier (Jennifer) and Brian Vernier (Lynn); and his siblings, Larry (Nancy), Dennis (Cheryl) and Nancy Thompson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
