He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Blythe and Cora Blythe (Lungren); his wife Rose Blythe (Shreffler); and his siblings, Evelyn Schaefer and John Blythe.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Semedo (Reccardo), Karen Wohlheter (Graydon), Beth Wade (Larry), Gail Blythe, Sherry Brendle (Karl), Suzanne Bell (David) and Gary Blythe II (Dawn); and his sisters, Nancy Seidler, Janet Cassey (Dan) and Judy Cross. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
