With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy JoAnn Kotema of Louisville, Ohio, born in Canton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2024 at the age of 92. As we bid Dorothy JoAnn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dorothy JoAnn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Berring and Mary Berring (Carrol); her husband Steve Kotema; and her children, John Kotema and Kathleen Schreck.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Burnett, David and James Kotema; and her siblings, Mary Seevers (Donald) and Robert Berring (Jeanne). She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
